If I make my dissertation Open Access, when will it show up in Google Scholar?
Proquest provided the following information on 4-26-24:
"The open access publishing option does not make your work available to Google Scholar. Open Access is a publishing agreement that makes the full text of your work available and searchable to everyone using our ProQuest Platform database. Since you selected, "Allow for search engine access", your work will be sent to Google Scholar. After publishing, it typically takes around 2-2.5 months for the ProQuest listing to be indexed in Google Scholar."
